George Young: Bass Player for AC/DC

Here are some cool pics of George Young, older brother of Angus and Malcolm, playing bass live and in the studio for AC/DC. He was also their producer and co-arranger. Phil Rudd raved about George's bass playing, which introduced the palm-muted and down-stroked style that is synonymous with them.

He played bass on many of their iconic '70s hits, as well as the entire High Voltage album (which Mark Evans acknowledges in his autobiography, despite being credited on the album sleeve).

He was one of the first people in Australia to own a Stingray. He let Cliff Williams use it for the Powerage recording sessions and the rest is history.
