Double Bass Getting a Bigger/Louder Sound

You need swagger to get a big sound.

OK if we're talking foot wear I gotta say this. I made my own wooden endpin which is non adjustable. I set the length based on ideal bass height wearing low heeled shoes - like crocs. If I wear shoes w/a higher sole/heel it throws off my intonation and muscle memory - it just doesn't feel right. So yes I get a bigger tone from my feet
