My bridge is pretty warped so I am going to get a new bridge in the near future. The one I have now came with the bass I bought. It's a Despiau (is that how you spell it) and it seems like it was carved to thin. I know that the person who makes the adjustments to the bridge by sanding it etc. probably has more to do with it being good or bad, but could you guys recommend any good bridge makers? I want something that will last for ages even with the extremes of Boston climate. Is it typical to buy the bridge from the luthier you are having set up the bass or do some guys buy a bridge elsewhere and then take it to their luthier of choice? Thanks.
