Good for both of you! Seems to have finally happened to me as well... 
To me, being nice is really a low bar.
I guess maybe you attract women who aren't nice to you because you're too nice a guy? Just sayin'.
I am attracted to mean women who are very very attractive looking. This one is smart, funny, good looking, successful, and yes, acts like she wants to take care of me, as I do her. Plus, we have CHEMISTRY!!!

Here's the dilemma for guys like us. We know we have it going on because with are with amazing an amazing woman. But wait, if she is so amazing what the heck is she doing with guys like us? Hmm ... is she really that smart after all?
What the hey, go for it an do your best. Hopefully we learn from our past experiences and grow when challenges come in our relationships. Not if challenges come, but when they come because they will. Guaranteed. Not trying to be Captain Bringdown just saying that we grow and change and challenges can be a good thing.

So I was one of these guys who spent his 20s lonely; 30s and 40s in committed relationships and found himself in his early 50s and divorced.
Suddenly hot women who were WAAAAAY too young for me liked me; and I made up for all that 20s loneliness by making it with anyone who was attractive, without lying, cheating, or otherwise being a jerk. I'm nice; I'm fun; I'm a good listener, but I'm also kind of getting old, and still just as broke as I ever was. The consensus among all my "girlfriends," is that I'm a major catch, and the confidence from that sort of snowballs, and the more I believe it, the more they do.
But I don't WANT lots of girlfriends; I still want to share something with that ONE.
But I enjoyed running around, at least for a little while.
It made up for some serious heartbreak.
