I'm wanting to find out more about the recording by Police ghost in the machine. I'm wondering what instruments and amplifiers that Sting used in that recording.

I think one great thing about the album is the Sonic berth that he was allowed simply by the fact that they were a trio. I don't care what anybody says about Sting I think he is one of the greatest bassists. I feel like he was always committed to having an excellent tone. I can't think of a single song by the police that isn't excellent. What a great combination of musicians.

If anyone has any insight about this album I would love to hear it.

For Ghost, he primarily used Andy Summers' sunburst Precision and the Zalinge EUB. As far as amplification, Hugh Padgham tended to run the bass direct into the board, so the preamp was likely a custom Neve design. You can read more about the Montserrat console [Invalid or Expired Link Removed].
