GHS Pressure Wound vs Balanced Nickel

Looking at GHS' little chart, they show Balanced Nickels as warmer than Pressure Wounds. For those of you that have used both, do you find that to be the case? I'd like to try the BNs but I really don't want to go darker than the PWs.

Alloy 52 (PW) vs. Pure Nickel (BN)... The PWs are "brighter" in the sense they have a stronger midrange with a distinct "crunch", while the BNs are "warmer" with smoother mids.

Thanks! Just the info I needed. I've got a G&L L2K that I'm finally coming to terms with. Every string I put on it was too bright until I got to Chromes and then began to understand how to EQ everything. I really didn't like the Chromes but I kept them on for a while. Then I went back to Pressure Wounds and thought they were it. Now I'm needing something with just a bit clearer tone. I think part of it is because everything else I've played has been single coils. These pickups are just bit thicker. I've got a set of Round Core Boomers I think I'm going to try. Thanks again!
