to anyone; is there any sound difference between a regular thunderbird and the blackbird??? ive never got to try one out my self so idk.

I think the guts are the same except on the Blackbird there are no volume or tone controls. Just an on/off switch.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Other than that it's all aesthetics.

If you are referring to the original Optigrab Bridge version, then yes, they are different in several respects-
The optigrab bridge, used for anchoring you pinkie for picking. A more simplified control layout with a toggle pickup selector, and from what I am told a raspier rock sound.
Also the finish, on the ones I have seen look like they were applied by a third grader, in that they used a satin black paint without filling the grain. Also many had drip & paint runs in the finish.
