Gibson Les Paul 5 Stringer

I paid $700US-ish for a 5er with a maple top just to try something different.

Just love the bass now, but can't find another anywhere (that isn't insanely priced).

I guess I will just have to be patient and watch eBay and CL.....

$700!!?? that wasn't for a LPB3? was it? that sounds like a deal even for a LPB2, but the ones with the 2 piece Warwick bridge are usually much more. The 4 strings go for over $1000-1500us all day long in fair condition. I've never seen a 5 string for sale but I figure they would go for at least $1500...judging by the posts here seems like demand is much higher than supply so who knows. I watch ebay and CL too and I occasionally google search Les Paul 5 string basses and LPB-3 to see if anything comes up...that's how I found this forum...it's the only place that gets regular hits on that search...lol. Guess I will have to check this forum more often to make sure I get first crack at the next one that comes up...lol
