GIBSON LES PAUL BASS (?)

I recently picked up a les paul bass. I previously owned an SG not the most versatile bass, but i fell inlove with the look of this LP bass though, and to my surprise this bass is one of the bass's ive ever played. You can do anything with this bass , and the F-ing output on this bad boy is unbelievable along with the tone. I got mine for 1700, My question to those who own one or have seen them before is how much do these things sell for on average, theyre pretty rare i dont see them anywhere and Gibson stopped selling them 2 years ago wich in my mind would increase the price, if not yet then soon in the future i imagine because man this is a hot bass, I was just wondering how much thse LP's are worth these days> And to those whove ever played them i want to know what you think of them..... good or bad?

Don't know anything about the prices, but I agree they do sound great..

Last summer when we went to Beale Street in Memphis a guy in one of the bands was playing one. Man that thing was thumping and sounded killer... If I had the money and could find one. I would get it and not think twice about it..

In my opinion they are great basses for rock. They have great warmth and cutting tone. Also are versatile. It's basically a tbird with more presence and high fret access.

Yes the pickups are hot - high output.

They made a lot of them so prices will go up steadily, but slowly, up like on all Gibson basses.

The Lp & Money basses are highly underrated basses, in my opinion.

I love mine. Also are the best crafted of all Gibson basses
