Gibson Les Paul D/C (Double Cutaway) in Worn Cherry. Pretty cool bass. Very punchy with a number of tonal possibilities. This is a short-scale bass. Like new, never taken out of my house. I've only had it a couple months. Better than new, actually. I had the fret ends professionally leveled, and I conditioned the fretboard so that the rosewood looks deep and rich.

I'd keep it, but I have too many basses. And since I'm a pretty big guy, I feel like I look like a circus bear playing a short-scale! :D But those of you who like short-scales will like this. Very light weight (7 1/2 lbs.)

Comes with the Gibson gig bag, which in all honesty, is a joke. It's huge, but fairly well-padded.

Because there's no case, I'd prefer to sell it locally. Anybody within a reasonable commute (a few hours) of Memphis, I'm willing to meet half-way. If I have to ship it, I will, but might ask you to split the shipping with me. The 1st and 5th pics were taken before I conditioned the board. It looks much darker & richer now.

Nice little U.S. made bass. Not looking for trades. I simply have too many basses right now and would like to move a couple to keep peace on the home front... :D

Gibson calls the pickup a "BassBucker". It's quiet, for sure; but big in volume.

The nut width is 1.6". (Slightly wider than a Jazz neck, but narrower than the smaller of the P-Bass nut width. Very comfortable.

No. The tuners are lightweight. I'll take a pic of it tomorrow hanging on the strap with neither hand on the bass. (Don't want to wake my wife tonight!)

I have one of these. Very cool little basses! FYI on the gig bag. I ditched the original one and got one of the Gibson bags for a Les Paul guitar. Fits great and is more like a Mono gig bag.

Thanks Lownote. Funny you say that about the Les Paul guitar bag. A friend of mine had an extra L.P. guitar bag. They DO look exactly like the bass bag, but smaller. We tried it. It was perfect except for one thing: The zipper wouldn't QUITE clear the tuners. It was REAL close, but wouldn't quite allow that last little bit to zip up.

It worked for me. I mean the newer style brown leather bags for Les Paul. Like this one...

Ah, okay! That's a different (and much nicer bag than the stock black one that came with it. And the guitar bag I tried was exactly like the bass bag, but smaller. But if I were planning to keep this bass forever, I'd probably invest in one like yours. I actually have a Warwick RockBass bag that works also. It's a LITTLE bit big, but not bad at all...

Well, this doesn't seem to be hitting a lot of "hot buttons" for potential buyers. I'll leave it up for a few more days, then I guess I'll just keep it. Nice bass for short-scale lovers.

I guess I'll bump this one last time, then just hang onto it if it doesn't sell. I'll look at it as a sign that I'm supposed to hang onto it. (Even if it DOES make me look like a circus bear...) :D She's wearing GHS Precision Flats.
