Hi,
I recently acquired a Gibson Kirst Novoselic RD bass. The setup was a bit high, so I decided to tweak it a little. All went well, but my A-string sounds strange, like something is vibrating inside the body, not the tuners nor the bridge.
Also, it seems I've got some fret buzz when playing on the 3th fret on my A-string, not much, but when I strike it reasonably hard, the note doesn't sound 'full'. On the other strings this is not an issue. I've tried adjusting the bridge, but that doesn't seem to work, my E, D and G string sound just fine on that fret, but not the A-string.
I ran out of ideas so any advice is welcome.
I've bought the bass last week, so worst case scenario I could still have it replaced.
