Gig bag for accesories, NOT a backpack

Great idea. I just bought a double bass bag from Gator, and thought about cables, and straps on the spare side. A mic stand would be even better.
I went a different route thanks to another TB member.
This modular rolling tool case not only allowed me to eliminate a rolling suitcase and carrying several items individually, it fits my Phil Jones Cub Pro amp as well.
Well if you want it all together then why not just a gym bag? One zipper on top and everything in one place? Or if you want a rock solid case that stands up and water proof, crush proof etc, then look for he right sized Pelican case once you decide what all you need to have with you?
A gym bag is too floppy. I used to use a Pilot's case, but that's not good to transport a head and pedalboard.
I have this idea that I want to slide in, upright, my head and pedalboard. They;re the same dimensions. Then other things around it. I'm looking now at wide mouth toolbags, I have two of them on order to check out the sizes. originally, I wanted something with the dividers included, like a photo bag. But the photo bags always have the dividers going across, rather along, the length. They're not large enough. I found a way to make interior padded dividers, and I've resigned myself to that fact that that's what I'll have to do.
I actually don't carry a bunch of extra crap. I'm in an acoustic/electric band, so my needs are a bit different than what's necessary for a standard setup. Besides cables & other necessities, this case holds my collapsible mic stand, bass stand, accessory tray, and replaced my amp stand as well as holding the amp itself. The wheels make it possible to stack additional items on top for the trip from car to stage. It's worked out pretty well.Jeez, dude, you carry more ancillaries than actual amp!I thought I was bad!

I believe this is smaller than what you're looking for, depending on what size you're head is. But, this is the diaper bag I used for years and years. I can fit my Tonehammer head, and my iPad, and cables, and a blanket for padding and for covering up my amp between sets.
One good thing about it is that people left it alone because they figured there would be stinky diapers in there.
