GK 115T info?

"115T" is recycled naming, if you had the series -RBX, -MBE, Backline etc there would be more to find easier. The pic looks like a 90's effort so that part checks out!

400w EV in that size cab would be a fairly heavy donk with a good rock voice. Probably not much in the way of fundamental tones from your E string, not that it matters.

Resurrecting a dinosaur (I know). I'm hoping to buy a 115T that's advertised locally. Took the better part of an hour just to identify it - there's hardly a shred of info available.

I'd planned to build an EV TL606 cab, and tracked down a used EVM-15 to put in it (three hours away by train).

From what little I can see, the GK 115T is almost identical to a TL606 cab except that the front port is divided by a single central plywood fin into two rather than three sections (this means I can't change cabinet response by plugging the middle port vent).

I'm crossing fingers that it contains the original EVM-15, and that it (the EV) is undamaged. Rated 200 watts @ 8 Ohms continuous/400 watts peak, so probably not fried. Here's hoping!

All I could find about it is GK made the 115T bass cabinets back in 1991 and discontinued them in 2003 and it’s 25x23x16 and has an 8 ohm, 15”, 400w EV driver.

I used to have one of these, my first bass cab donated to me by Johnny Payne of the Blue Olives. Definitely an EV driver. This would have been the late 90's. *thanks Johnny, I'll never be able to express how greatful I am for you fueling my love for bass*

Got the 115T home from upriver. Really couldn't bring it past the mothership airlock straight away, had to peel off a layer of tobacco tar.

It. Is. Exactly. What I had hoped for. Looks so silly, you'd have to admit.
