GK 400rbIV head w/ Genz cab?

I used a 700RB-II with my NEOX-212T cab for a while and it sounded pretty good. I preferred the GBE 1200 or Mesa Fathom with it, so I returned the GK. IME Genz makes great stuff, so I think you'll be fine if a smallish cab (are you sure it's not a 210?) like that will work for your volume needs.

He's in Nashville, you're in Nashville ... just take your head over and give it a try. That will tell you 1,000 times more than anything any of us say.

edit: All the replies are referencing Neox cabs. The thing is that the XB2 cab doesn't really have much in common tonally with the Neox cabs. So they're the same brand, but different designs, different porting, different drivers, etc. A GK sounding great with a Neox-series 12" cab doesn't really say anything about how the GK / XB2 rig will sound.

Cheers,
Liam

p.s. I think I know the cab you're looking at (not personally), and that is a great deal

I just got a Neox 112 to pair with my 400rbiv and I like it real well but I found I had to cut the highs and high mids from noon to 11:00 as well as cut the lows just a tad (I play a 5) and have the tweeter set at 50%. It sounds great and I can push it as hard as I care to without sounding harsh or farting out the speaker. A 212 would probably sound fuller and handle the lows better without any eq.
