Gk 410 combo

Ive done a search to find info and feedback about the Gallien-Krueger MB410-II 500W 4x10 combo but the info i found was not helpful. I see a lot of guys run the 210 or 212. I was wondering if anyone uses the 4x10 combo and what your thoughts are. I had a mbe 115 but wanted a little more power and was looking into the 4x10 combo.

A 410 combo will be louder than a 210 and slightly louder than a 212, generally. The problem is the weight. It's easier to move a head and seperate 410 cab usually. That's why 410 combo's are less popular. Besides, with seperates, you can carry the head, and use different cabs for different venues. Just all around more modular.

Are you making a living playing bass? I worked a large resort last summer and we had a new band every week. Every band (seven of them) had the Ampeg 410HLF for the bass. Most used Ampeg heads. All sounded fine and carried the large theater (which seats about 2500). We put a mike on them all but really didn't have to do much with the bass through the PA - the 4 x 10s did just fine. The GK 4 X 10 should be plenty loud also with a good amp.

Well said. That answers my question perfectly.
