I had a MB Fusion 500 I bought used here on TB. I bought it in 2014 but found out from GK later it was originally sold in 2010 - so it was fairly old. Made in China if that matters. It worked fine for about a year then the mute button broke and also I heard a pop and no output. I didn't test it through the FX return. Contacted Jason and sent it in for repair - cost $125 with the shipping. They said is was a "bad resistor on the preamp board" I think. Worked fine for about a year then it started acting like yours did - was kind of intermittent though. I had to pull out my MB200 backup at a few gigs. I figured it might be a tube issue but at this point I was done with this head - sold it cheap here on TB with full disclosure of the history. New owner pulled the tubes and cleaned the sockets and it has been OK for him. I ended up buying a new USA made MB500 (non-Fusion) which has been working fine. No point to this other than - if you have MB Fusion issues check the tubes.
