GK 700rb Boost level question

Hi!
I have owned a 700rbII for years, and always kept the boost maxed out!
To me, it was the 'grindyest' sound, and I found that the amp got dirtier when the sensitivity/input was turned up (as the main volume control).
I also kept the Master at 12 O'clock (to be safe amp-wise, and general band volume-wise).

I now play through my old ('86) 800rb - and run it the same way! Volume controls my volume, boost maxed out, and masters at 12 O'clock.
I have never experienced any fault or damage with either amp, nor any anomoly or playing discomfort with the boost control pushed to the max. I also reccommend this setting to my students, especially coupled with a good dose of compression.
Thanks for the question - I hope you feel better about maxing out your boost setting!
JOHN
