GK 800RB question regarding using an extra cab

I've been running my 800RB with a single Ampeg 8x10, into the 300 watt amp. However, I also have an EVM-15L loaded TL-606 1x15 cabinet which I would like to add to the mix. It is an 8 ohm cab, and I was planning on running it with the 100 watt section while my 8x10 is plugged into the 300 watt section. My question is, can I do this and still run the amp in full range, or do I need to engage the bi-amp switch? Will the frequency knob come into play here?

I apologize for my ignorance. I've never messed with this before and figured I'd ask someone more knowledgeable about it before I tried anything.

You can 1x15 through the 100w section. You can run it with the button engaged or disengaged. If you engage the button just be sure to set the crossover knob to the setting you want. In full range the crossover knob is not used.

you can run it either way. on my early prouction 800RB the 100w section appeared to sound higher (thinner) to me so that may be an issue.
