GK Combos still (literally) smoking?

I remember people having had experiences with the GK MB combos smoking, as well as other issues as well.
IS this still the case? Or has GK updated the combos and resolved these issues?

never had any issues with any of my GK combos. i've had a backline 115 and now an mb115-II.

Haven't seen a "smoking" issue as a general rule at any time? All amp and cab production is back in the USA as of 01/01/2012 if that means anything to you?
