I know this may be a dumb question, n im probably gonna get bashed on for it, but this amps Eq says "Active EQ" (look at link)

"active" probably means the EQ section can boost, as well as cut frequencies. This has nothing to do with the guitars configuration.

No. Both passive and active instruments will work.
