GK M800 and Hartke Hd410 cab not working

Im new to the bass after years of playing drums and apparently I'm dumb, so please excuse my ignorance

I have a Gallien-Kruger MB800 and a Hartke Hydrive HD 410 cabinet.
Plugged it in and it has barely any volume and is super muddy.
Is it the ohms?? GK is 800 watts I believe it runs 4 ohms when using 2 cabs and Hartke is 8ohms.

All you can do is to try a different amp head with that cab. That will let you know if it is the cab or the head.

I think you may be looking at the wrong speakon cable. Some GK heads require a certain type. The expert here is @rag .

Does the SpeakOn cable use genuine, Neutrik branded connectors?

We see an awful lot of problems traced to counterfeit, knock-off and fake connectors.

I don't think it does. It's a cheaper option. Might be my mistake.

This is a huge industry problem. It may very well be the cause of your problems.

If it hasn't been used in a long time maybe plug sockets are a little dirty, if it has an effects loop try plugging a cable into the send and return to bridge it. That can be a problem sometimes.

The cheaper non Neutik ones are always the most expensive in the long run.

They do what you are experiencing by not mating proper.

They get stuck in the socket making you have to take it to a repair shop for them to get it out and replace the amp or cab's socket that it destroyed.

You will end up buying another cable that has a Neutrik connector eventually.

This is a case of buy once and do not cry.

"The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten." Rings really loudly with other connectors, especially Monoprice.

Thanks. Good lesson to learn. Bought a better cable. Unfortunately I tested the GK amp on another cabinet and same thing.So off to the repair shop it goes. But at least I have the proper cable now. Thanks everyone !!!!

Are you sure that it is not stuck on the B channel? Looking at the photos that you posted it looks like the B channel gain and level are turned down.

That was my initial thought, but in the second photo it's turned up.

Yes. It's not on the B channel. I'm hoping it's just the speakon input.
