GK MB212ii noisy fan??

I've recently gotten a new GK 212 and i'm a bit surprised at how noisy the fan is. Sure, you can't hear it while playing but in a quiet studio it is quite audible and a little annoying. Turning the amp off while the fan is running you can definitely hear it wind down.

I emailed GK over a week ago but have had no response. In their defense I just listened to the mp3 I attached to the email and on my computer speakers at work (with the noise of the air conditioner behind me) I can't hear it. It is actually more audible just on my phone. I am a little surprised they haven't at least emailed back stating they can't hear it. The noise does concern me a little.... but their lack of response concerns me more.

Anyone else with an MB212 noticed this?

I wouldn't have thought the service desk would get that many but ive been wrong (many times) before. I'll try to remember to give them a call tomorrow.

That makes me think it that maybe I'm right in thinking it's louder than it should be. Thanks.

I have the same issue. Mine just started, however. When I first bought it (used), it was quiet. I was using a different amp, so it sat for several months. I turned it on last week, and now it is really humming. Weird. I plan on taking it in to a local amp repair shop to see what they say. Right now I will not play it out with that fan noise. I'll keep you posted.
