Gk mb800 popping noise?

Hey all I just got a used gk mb800 in today and everytime I shut it off it makes a popping sound is that normal for these?

It’s normal for any SS amp. Some have circuitry to mute the output until the amp stabilizes.

None of my MBF's do this.
I don't remember the BGM MB800 doing this.

No. Mine has never done this.

I don't recall mine doing this, but I usually hit Mute before I switch off, as an old habit. Does putting the amp into Mute make a difference on the popping? If it is still doing that while muted then somethings definitely gone wrong....

some (especially older) amps do this.
Mute switch seems to be the fix/solution/workaround.
this has been noticed before.

I got in touch with seller and he is accepting it to be returned.
I called gk and spoke to a really nice woman who told me this popping is not normal and to bring it to an authorized service center. In chicken speak that means bring it to some dude that will cost a lot of money. I don't want that head ache. Think I'll just play my subway and be happy.
