Have you guys used these new GK combos?

MB 110
MB 115
MB 210
MB 212

I sold my MB150 a while back because of volume limitations, so I'm curious to see whether these could be a good replacement.

There are a couple of threads if you search over on the BG side for the MB210 and MB 212. The MB210 is 350w as a combo and 500w with extension cab while the MB212 puts all its power through the combo and can't take an extension.

Put some info in your profile and you'll get more help. Did you mean to post this on the double bass side ?

I've been using an MB210 for double bass with a Rev Solo II pickup and HPF-pre and am happy with it. With two guitars and a not very loud drummer in small rooms I've had all the volume I've needed with gain and master both at half volume for pizz and turning the master down to 10 o'clock for arco. I turn the horn off (it's noisy!)and keep the boost knob all the way down.

I've been gigging my MB115 with a classic honky tonk band for many months now and it sounds great, and performs well night after night. It is very clear and clean, loud and punchy, and has good smooth mids for a good natural woody sound with piezo pickups. The clear tone and definition is not what you'd expect from old school 15s.

I have the mb212, where do I start lol. The first one I had was a lemon, speaker started with a wierd popping sound and than finally amp started smoking, scary. The guys from GK have been great and sent me a brand new one free of charge, they even payed for the UPS shipping. Much better, it has alot of volume only thing I wish it had is a ground lift switch as sometimes you can get an annoying his or static depending on the room or electric outlets. A tuner and a mute switch would have been nice as well but overall, I like the amp alot. Very modern sounding.
