Hey Talk bass I have decided on getting a used ampeg
SVT 4x10 It's Rated at 4 ohms and 500 watts any thoughts and opinions will be very helpful

Thanks for checking this out Bassgod. My Question is about pairing this with a GK800rb. As a noob I need all the info I can get, that being said any opinions on this pairing is helpful.

I think that will be a great match.. I ran a 400rb iv into a svt410. Those cabs can hit lows like a bomb.. and should be plenty loud for most normal purposes.

Ran that very rig (although it was a flat back 810 cabinet) for 27+ years.......
The head is still going strong......wish I still had the cabinet.

nope. As long as you're running 8 ohms you're good. I run a 3rd 15" with that for outdoor gigs along with a 4 ohm 2-15 through the 300 watt section. Full signal, not biamped.

Hi DH very helpful!! So I picked up a 77 Mitchell Cab
410 8 ohm for the highs and I have the ampeg 410 4 ohm
for the low. I'm really stoked on this rig

realistically you're only going to need a single driver for the highs if you're going to run biamped. I'd look at a guitar speaker in that situation just for simplicity's sake.

Right on shooter! I just saw a pair of flatbacks in brown carpet. looked awesome!!
