Glockenklang Heart-Rock question

Hi
I'm looking to buy a high powered solid state head as a back up to my Trace Elliot V6 which has been in repair for a while, and the Glockenklang has my attention. I can't try one out for about about two months as they are not a standard item in shops here, and can't seem to find much info online about them either. Specifically I am interested in hearing the various settings that the preamp is capable of, from clean to overdriven, or to even hear some descriptions from owners as to what sort of tonal control you have over the gain with the Glockenklang. My real preference is for all tube amplification, but I don't mind a bit of variety in my second head and am not looking for it to sound like my V6. The speakers I have are a Berg NV610, SWR Henry the 8X8, SWR 2X12 and a Bag End 18.
Cheers
Evan

Quite a few people have commented on it's sound. Of course it's not like trying it for yourself. They have a very versatile EQ. Set flat, it truly is a blank page. You can dial in whatever tone you want. Boosting lows doesn't make the sound muddy. The highs are crystal clear without being harsh. The mid control is great at achieving punchy tone. The EQ is very well voiced. You can get a little overdrive depending on how you use the gain, but certainly not like a tube amp so if that's what you're looking for it may not be what you want. Glock is known for having a very pure, clean sound.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Glock's are really reasonably priced in Australia compared to a lot of other high end items. They are half the price when compared to Aguilar, Mesa or Ampeg so I will most likely try one out when I am in Sydney later this year if I haven't bought something else in the meantime.

I got a Glock Heart Rock from George at Bass Gear Direct. Greatest amp I've ever played through. I drive my Bergantino AE410 & AE210 stack with it. This amp really suits the tight punchy cabs like the AE's. The Glock really has a full, rich, detailed tone which is very dynamic and musical no matter how you tweak the controls. I've heard comments describing the tone like a 3D type feel. I know exactly where that's coming from. You really do get that nice body and shape to the notes but with a very quick response.

I think with any tight sounding cab this amp will match up really well and compliment the cab's voicing.

You might want to check out this thread I did a while back when I tested and compared a few heads with the Heart Rock http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=441071&highlight= Some good info here.

BTW, it has a a very nice overdrive which breaks up in a natural type of way not too extreme. May be enough for some not for others.
