Going nuts trying to memorise a bassline...Tips?

A few days ago I decided to learn Oingo Boingo's song, Little Girls. At first I thought it would be impossible to memorize, it's just a crazy song but what I do to memorize such things is just listen to the song a hundred times. After hearing one song so many times I can anticipate each change in my head before it happens, makes it much simpler to follow.

Proof: :)

i spent a lot of time this week learning Dani California by RHCP. there's a similar riff that Flea plays over and over, and almost every other time he adds a piece of flair. well, i think it happens 6 or 7 times throughout the song, and keeping those straight was more of a challenge than playing the actual part. we'll see how well i remember at rehearsal later today!

and +1 on the thread being a great idea!
