Yo guys...
I just received the (all hail) Gollihur Deluxe bag in gray and maroon....RIDICULOUS! So densely padded, great. Zippers, backpack straps, and did I mention RIDICULOUSLY WELL PADDED? Best bag I've had, with the exception of the Reunion Blues bag! If you're in the market for a killer bag, these are worth your time. I have no affiliation with them, other than being one very happy patron! For 250, it's gotta be the best deal in the DB market!
Peace...
JC

I thought I got a real good deal when i got mine too...

although, ... give it another two weeks!
two of my handles broke for absolute no reason. even though I din't use the wheels hardly at all the wood that they are attached to cut through the fabric. there were also a couple of openings inside, and the two patches that hold the strap that work with the shoulder straps came undone.
Just a real poorly made chinese piece if s@#$!
I hardly used it. I went back to my old kolstein, that has a few broken zippers. but i've been using that one for 15 years!!!
i considered myself lucky i sold the gollihur for $150. I felt like if I kept using it, the thing would disintegrate. I know another guy in Littleton that had one of those and the bag completely fell apart.
well... with that in mind,... good luck!!! :hiding:

You've had these problems with the new deluxe bags? Please let me know!

yeap.
but hey... maybe i got a lemon...
although I must say, that bag is on the heavy side for sure, and if you look at the pics on the website, you can tell that does handles won't last very long even handling the bag alone.
it looks like on one side the D ring is supported by a small patch.
my D ring came off on the second week.
compare that to a Kolstein, or a eastman bag (those are more or less in the same price range).
before I sold my bag, I bolted the D ring and the handles. that thing will never come off. I believe stuff can be made to last.
if I was quick at holding my bass, when those handles failed my bass could have been damaged. I have heard stories of broken necks because of cheaply made bags, And that is unacceptable!!!
But then again, maybe my bag was a lemon. so just make sure you hold on to your when you are moving you bass around and don't trust that an of those attachments are 100% secure.
good luck.

Me too. It's a false economy. Seemed ok but zippers and handles broke and I had to junk it. My mooradian bag lasted 20 years and I'll probably be dead before the one I got to replace gollihurs wears out.
