The gig bag I have with my bass is pretty poor - it's just canvas with no padding at all. I'm pretty careful when transporting the bass, but I'm thinking of getting one of the gollihur bags to replace it ([Invalid or Expired Link Removed]).
Does anyone have any experience with these?
Is there a better gig bag I should look at in that same price range?

I used one for several years for a Kay bass I had at the time. I don't know of anything better in the same price range. The handles were in the right place, at least for me. Sold it with the bass; otherwise I'd probably use it for the 3/4 I have now. I think it is a good value. I had the green.

I bought one, I don’t know, seven years ago maybe? The zipper pulls broke within a few months. Mark sent me replacements immediately and they have been fine ever since. The case is well made, the handles are in all the right places, and there is no sign of anything wearing out. I don’t carry this case every day but it has seen a lot of use. For the price, I would recommend it highly.

I bought one when my decades old mooradian died, and wished I hadn't. After a few years of NYC schlepping the zippers were shot and handles broken. Bought another mooradian and expect it will be the last case I ever buy.

I have one. It was old and beat when I got it, and now it's about beat to death with some broken zippers and ripped seams but it survived 7 years of heavy gigging and is now "retired" because my new bass had a new bag too. As others have said: there are higher end bags, but it is a good functional gig bag.

Try contacting FMI (fantastic musical instruments- ask for Tom. No, I don't work for him. He's on the other side of the continent). Yeah, they're not Lemur, but the Chrissy I bought from them three years ago came in a nice, well-padded bag with wheels. I was skeptical at first, but I've used those wheels countless times now and they're still working just fine. I'm very careful with my gear, but I don't see how anybody could trash this bag in a short period of time unless they went out of their way to do it.
