Double Bass Good alternative Preamp for K & K Bassmax

Hello 'erbody,

I've been trying to find this thread I viewed a while ago, about preamps to use with the K&K Bassmax pickup. There was this preamp that was mentioned that costs like $50, and is built by this guy.....

he essentially runs a small mail order service for these preamps

Does anyone know who I'm talking about?

I think you're talking about the Fdeck pre-amp.
