Double Bass Good German bow

I'd like to start checking out german bow. Any recommendations? I started on an upton standard bow that was like $300 maybe. Got a Guasti & Bottoni French bow recently and its awesome. Only ever played french bow. The Guasti is a huge step up from my first bow. Looking for a german bow that isn't horrible but not super costly (paid $1200 for the Guasti and don't have that bread right now).

Carbon bows are a safe buy. You know what you are getting.

If you budget allowed, I would recommend you try out any German made workshop bows. In the lower tiers you will not be getting the best materials, but I think a Dölling, Paulus, or Phreztschner will probably have the balance and response you are looking for. I never held a Phreztschner that didn't play well. Maybe for later if you decide to stick with German bows.

You could also give the Carbow up-down a test drive. Those brown carbon sticks really don't sound that bad
