Good, solid, strong power amp?

Hey, I have a Zoom B3 that I want to use as a preamp into a good solid state power amp, but I'm not too knowledgeable about this stuff. Recommendations?

My concern with the QSC PLX amps is they need a [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] to drive them to their potential. I am not sure if the pre the OP wants to use will do that.

I knew Peavey would come up, thanks though. I'll check em out.

They come up for a darn good reason. Low cost, high power, sound better than my old lead sleds and very low carry weight. I have two IPRs in my PA.

Weight a problem? The old massive Peavey ones are good bang for buck, all they need is a hoover out. I pick up Matamp Quasars because they are top quality and go for no money.

If weight isn't an issue, there a lots of great power amps that can be had for very little (relatively) cash these days. Crest, Crown, Peavey, Yamaha. AB International, Electro-Voice, even some Carvins..check the auctions.

I just got a qsc plx 1804 this week to drive my berg nv412, with my VT Bass Deluxe. I've got no problem getting the -10 light to come on with a clean tone. I have not tried to clip it yet.

I have a zoom MS-60B (the baby bro of the B3) and that has a hotter output that the VT Bass. The guy that started the thread above is using his b3 with a crown xls drive core 1500 with no issues apparently.
