Good strings to warm up your tone?

TI Jazz Rounds!!! They're as warm as you can get with new roundwound strings. I love 'em

I've got a set on my old Guild Starfire hollowbody that are coming up on a year old. Sounds perfect on that bass. Nice and mellow, but still with plenty of clarity. And the 6-string set on my Stambaugh is about 7 months old now. I bought a new set for it last month, but ended up putting the old set back on. They've still got plenty of great tone to spare!
GHS bassics. Warm lows, full mids, just enough highs (not overly bright), cheap as dirt, age nicely.
I think I'm looking for the same thing you are (JLW), a nice warm string that'll let me slap too. Also found the EB's a bit to zingy.
I've got the Sunbeams on now, but I'm still finding them a bit too bright for me, and not crazy about this sort of e-piano-ish sound I'm hearing on the high end.
What do you guys think? Would Nickel Low-Riders do the trick?
I had D'Addario EXLs before, loved the tone but found the E too unfocused on slap (maybe they were dying?). How would Low-Riders compare?
