I think synth players are a little more particular than bass players actually. I haven't really ventured too much into their forums. When I was doing searches I mostly did google searches and crossed my fingers.

Hey Bob, I'm still not done fine-tuning the couple of vintage synths I snagged; I'd be interested in any info you can share- I'm specifically working on an Ensoniq ESQ-1 & Roland JX8P. You can PM me or post here- I'm sure there's a TBer or two who could benefit.

for the sounds i would not hesitate: go with xbase888, true analog kick, snare and tom generation. what i understand of the machinedrum is that it's more flexible for sampling ...
