Google Nexus 7

Anybody here on TB have it yet? Im getting it for xmas because i really wanted to switch it up because im just tired of laptops and desktops in general. Not saying that they're bad, just want a change. So i figured that a tablet would be the way to go. I read many many reviews on the Nexus 7 and they all seem to be positive. I just wanted to know from one of yous guys if it is worth the $249 price tag(which is not alot at all for a 32GB version..)

The reviews I've read have been very very much in-depth so I doubt a forum member could give you much more info.

They're fantastic value for the dollar, period.

Personally, 7" is too small a screen for me, but I doubt you could do better than the Nexus 7. I love my iPad 3 but I'd never get an iPad Mini and would rather get a Nexus 7 if I had to scale down.

I've had one for a few months & it's been flawless. I tried a 10" galaxy tab prior & found it to large to be truly portable. Also, Google updated yesterday it to Jelly Bean 4.2 & it is now unbelievably smooth.
Mainly use it for web browsing, email, movies on planes & an e-reader. Size is perfect for reading/movies.

I'm thinking of getting one in the near future, but the storage space is a concern. I'll probably be storing tons of sheet music, ebooks and songs on it, so I'm looking to go the USB OTG way. Just hoping I get a working OTG cable out here.

I bought one on Amazon for about 5 bucks. Works just fine. I have a 16 gig & memory hasn't been a problem for me although it was a definite concern when I was researching the thing.

I presume you haven't had to root it? I've also heard some concerns about some OTG cables not working: could you tell me what brand yours is?

Nope, not rooted. I couldn't find a brand name for but it actually cost me $1.29 . Didn't have to install any type of app for it to work either.
