Got the pedals - now which board?

My FX addiction has reared its head again after over 10 years of being “pedal free” (apart from a couple of multi FX That I dabble with here and there). So, I’ve started to put together a pedal collection again. So far, these include…
MXR M82 Bass Envelope Filter
DemonFX compressor (Cali76 clone)
T-Rex Quint Machine octaver
Laney Digbeth preamp, or maybe a Tech21 VT Bass DI
TC Electronics Thunderstorm flanger

Now, my question to TB Land is, what pedalboard and power supply would you guys recommend for putting these together in a single setup? Any advice or input greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance. ;)

With that kind of setup, I’d start with Pedaltrain Metro 20 (or 16, or 24) + either TrueTone One Spot Pro CS6 or Cioks DC5 Link (either will fit perfectly under a Metro board). Plus some 3M Dual Lock.

My bass board at the moment is Metro 20/CS6. Works perfectly.

I'd go with a Pedaltrain Metro and a Cioks DC-7 or DC-5. Whatever power supply you end up with, get something that will give that Cali76 18v.

I use a Metro 16 and a DC-7 myself. It's just big enough to fit enough stuff without getting nuts, the power supply will handle pretty much any pedal that I'd want to put on it, and it's small enough to be extremely compact.

If it will be going out for gigs, the mono boards and bag seem like a great option.
I’m currently in the market for a new board (I’ve outgrown mine) and can’t decide between mono or temple.

That's a good question, and i wish i would of asked before.

I started with a Pedaltrain Nano+ i said to myself just a few pedals...
Sold it, bought a Novo 18, then a Novo 24 then a Novo 32 then i buit an extension for it,
and now, i still need more room... it's an addiction.

I will probably move all my pre-amps on another board, probably a Metro Max
The good thing, i never move them around, they stay at home.

Plan ahead, leave lot's of room.
I use pedalplayground.com
In terms of supply i have a Strymon Zuma and i'm looking for a Cioks DC7

This is still a work in progress, but I’m getting there. I have some further additions to the board shortly - Big Muff for extra dirt, a Cry Baby and an MXR Phaser. I’m also thinking of a separate smaller board to go in the send return loop, for time based effects like Delay or reverb, and maybe a looper.

This will be tough to fit. You need to factor in all the cables, and always leave a little bit more room that you think you need.

Have a look at the Warwick Rockboard pedalboards. These are great. You get to choose between softcase, ABS case and flightcase. The ABS case is rubbish.

If you're going larger and larger, make sure your PSU allows for expansion. The Cioks DC-7 would be right up your alley - or the Strymon models. I can't stress enough how much the quality of the PSU matters. Get a good one. The alternative is getting a cheap one first and then getting a good one.

Yes, I was thinking I’d probably need a bigger board, like maybe a Metro 24. But I’ll definitely check out Warwick. Thanks for the comments.

Cioks DC7, buy the best, cry once. Flexibility with the voltages, plus the USB. Plus with the way the outs are located, far more practical. I’m a big fan of the Metro series, the continuous straight line, never liked that upper tier tap dance thing, but you can use a loop strip at the bottom to keep things under control with a deeper board, or a hot mess pedal arrangement.

My 02: don't skimp on the power supply.....CIOKS DC-7 is incredibly versatile.....it even powers my 24V Quilter Interbass pedal pre/45 watt amp. I don't subscribe to the "get a bigger board than you think you'll need" approach, however. I prefer to keep it small, which helps prevent me from falling ever deeper down the pedal rabbit hole ;) Different strokes 'n' all.....My board preference is Chemistry Designworks, although I use dual lock rather than zip ties.
