Nice! I have a similar piece of walnut that's sitting around waiting for me to come up with something to use it for.

Are you going to make it so you can see the figure as it is or is it being laminated?

Here are some early pic's of one of the necks I got out of the piece. I have enough left for three more Strat or Tele style necks and one for my first neck thru bass project. This is the Tele body as well for the first neck, once it darkens up it will look awesome...

No, it is a neck for and mounted to a Tele I built. I roughed out the neck for the bass build yesterday and will post up pi's tonight.

That's just the first coat of Tru-Oil, you should see it twisting in the light. It looks a 1/4" deep already.
