I haven't gotten along with shorts scales in the past, but I wanted to give em one more shot especially since I saw how nice this 66 looks...

AND it balances well, not to heavy...

I have had a Danelectro longhorn and a that JMJ mustang bass and for some reason or another I decided I didn't like short scales, not sure why...

I like this bad mutha....

Nice looking KB-1!
For the life of me I can't figure out why they added that goofy metal guard over the strings, and there's no pickup beneath it.
Is it a mudbucker like on the Gibson EBs, with the same kind of tone?
The metal guard is a hand rest, and the mudbucker should be a genuine Gibson one. Kalamazoo was a Gibson budget brand in the 60's.

^^^ yes it's a real Gibson Mudbucker^^^

I even got what looks to be the original flatwounds included in the case... they are probably going back on after I see how I like the new chromes that are on it.
