Double Bass Graphic Equalizer With XLR Input

Rack gear with XLRs typically run at line level, which is a much hotter signal than instrument level. Plugging an Ischell pickup into a line level input it unlikely to work well, and you need something with more gain to step the signal up from instrument level to line level. XLR inputs are also typically balanced. At the minimum you would need to use some sort of adapter to convert 1/4" unbalanced to XLR balanced.

There are quite a few preamp pedals on the market with 1/4" inputs and XLR outputs. XLR outputs can be mic level or line level. Mic level is even lower than instrument level. So you need to check the devices specs before you buy to make sure it does what you need.

Some preamp DIs have both line and mix level XLR outs. This is the back of the Mesa Subway Preamp DI.

You can also find Preamp DIs that have switchable level on the XLR out. Note the -20dB switch on the Tech 21 Q Strip

I used to run a Rane 31 band graphic in the Effects Loop of an SWR Redhead. I was a doubler and played the bass guitar and upright through the rig. I used an ABY to switch instruments and then toggled the Rane into the circuit. The Rane was used to tailor the sound for the upright, and it worked really, really well.
