I have been wanting a graphite necked bass for some time. A few weeks ago I picked up a Moses graphite Precision neck from a local TB'er. At first I was going to build a '54 style P Bass body for it, but realized that the reason I wanted a graphite necked bass in the first place was because I had loved playing a friends' Stingray with a Moses neck. So...another TB'er was selling a Warmoth P body loaded with a Nordstrand MusicMan pickup (volume / tone / series-parallel switch). Really happy with how she turned out. Very comfortable, well balanced and sounds fantastic. Does the crisp graphite thing that I was looking for very well but also rolls off into a more organic growliness. Loves to interact with pedals too. My only fear is that I may have stepped too close to the slippery slope of building my own...
