Why would the finish effect a bridge based on it's price????
Both bridges are held down with the same five wood screws,
both are metal plates, the finish of the instrument is the same
factor for both.
Gotta hip me to where you are going with this idea!
Babicz bridge is another gimmick. Surface area of contact point shouldn't make any difference.
The beauty of the Babicz bridge is not found in the tone it produces. The beauty of it, is how smooth adjustments are, and how everything locks down once it is adjusted. As far as, engineering and functionality goes, its the best bridge on the market.
The Babicz is actually NOT " a high mass bridge".....
If anything it weighs less than many bent plate types.
Mass is not what they are about - go read the stuff on their site!
