GREAT BUYING EXPERIENCE! Vendor recommendation

So, I decided I wanted a Sandberg SuperLight (old guy, sore back on long gigs). So, I started searching. Inadvertently, online I came across a store in Durham, NC called "SoundPure". They had a new SuperLight that was already notably less expensive than any other outlet I found during my research, and including some of the biggest operations in the country. And free shipping. So I called. Anthony answers the phone professionally and pleasantly. Most noticeable thing within a minute into the conversation: he KNEW what he was talking about. Definitely not one of those GC kids who don't know the input jack from the tuning key. I asked a lot of questions about the bass. He answered them knowledgeably and patiently. I bought the bass.

OK, so he ships it out THAT DAY and the bass arrives in Florida at my house 2 days later. When I brought it in, I immediately noticed a hole through the box that had happened in shipping. Fed Ex's fault, of course. The bass looked great except for a dent in the back right where that hole in the box was. I sent an email to Anthony immediately with a couple of photos. Within a few minutes I got a response. Did he argue? Did he make excuses? No. He said that he was very sorry Fed Ex had done that, that he knows how disappointing that can be when buying a new bass, and what would I like do? I told him I loved the bass and didn't want to return it, but that I would appreciate some kind of refund because the bass was actually now a "scratch and dent" vs. perfect. Long story short. Within one more email (about 30 min) we had reached an agreement on the amount of refund that was fair. Anthony immediately refunded the money and pleasantly told me he thanked me for my patience and appreciated my business.

In this age of sketchy customer service, SoundPure has got it right. Strong recommendation.

.

It’s an output jack.;)

Now that my smart ass comment is out of the way, congratulations on the Sandberg! Which model did you get? Good thing the dent was on the back of the bass. I’ll check out SoundPure’s website.

Someone will probably be along to tell you that pics are mandatory.

He has a brick and mortar store? Website? I'm (usually) in a suburb or Charlotte. There's no one local I like to do business with.
Granted, Durham is a haul...but sometimes I get paid to drive cargo there...

I am glad it worked out really well for you. I recall contacting them about a PJ Nash bass tag (pickup info, etc.) they had about a year and a half ago, it was priced right -below $2k- plus there was a $200 coupon offer if you created an account with them.
Making the story short: It took days for them to reply and when I was ready to buy, the price of the instrument was adjusted up. I ended up not buying it.
Post some pictures!

Here's the bass for those of you who are into porn (grin):
