Hi TB.

I invested considerable time scouring posts and experimenting and came up with 4 killer settings for the TH 500 which are broad enough to cover just about every style and then you can tweak/fine tune from here at your gig to adjust for the environment.

I also created and attached a single page pdf document so you can print this on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper and slide it into your amp head bag.

Hope this is helpful and saves you some time. Have fun!!!!

I can't wait to try these settings, thanks for posting them!

My favorite TH500 setting so far looks pretty close to the 3-Crispy setting, with a smidge more Bass and Drive. I may also have the Mid Freq a smidge more clockwise as well.

The TH500 is a very, very cool amp IMO. In fact, the Tonehammer Pedal is what I've asked my kids to get me for my Christmas present. I plan on running the Tonehammer Pedal with my Demeter/Crest Big Rig. -Pretty Excited!

Interesting settings! Mine is quite different than the four options you posted here...I don't think I'm quite as big a fan of treble as you are! ;) I'll have to try and take a shot and post it up.

I will say though that the TH is one of those amps where it sounds pretty darn great with "everything at noon". If nothing else, its a fantastic starting place from which to tweak.

I have to correct myself. Looking at the Mid Freq settings, my favorite setting is closer to 4-Rumble's settings.

What bass do you use? Active or passive?
That will make a big difference as to how these setting play out.
I agree 100%. The TH500's eq is Very interactive. Switch to a bass with a different voicing, output level, etc, certainly will change the sound, -and feel of the amp. It's one of the things that I really like about the TH500's eq; its very expressive, a little adjustment goes a long way. Lots of hidden Gems in this amp, that I'm still finding.

Everyone, please keeps your eq settings coming!

Absolutely! I started out with mine pretty much Flat, and loved it's sound right off the bat. Then I found an Aguilar Club or Tonehammer thread here where folks were sharing their favorite settings, so I printed them off and gave a few of them a try. I'm not much of a knob twiddler, -(well, I didn't used to be!) but this amp's eq is incredible!

+1. When I switched from a passive P/J bass to an active EBMM Sterling, I had to radically change my amp settings to get back to a tone that I liked...it must have taken me a good month of tweaking before I was finally back to a place that I liked. It really is a powerful and interactive EQ, and because of that I find it takes time and a lot of little adjustments (and then counter-adjustments) before you can hit on perfection. The cool thing is though it still sounds pretty amazing at all the stops en route to perfection. :)

Good point. I use active.

I'm using an active bass too. I haven't tried any of my passive basses through mine yet. As I posted earlier, I found a really great tone that I've been trying to find for many years using an active bass. I'm having such a great time playing through it, I can't pull myself away long enough to grab a different bass!! :bassist: :D

No hi-jacking at all my friend. That is what the community is for. Share thoughts, opinions, findings and ideas on the threads so we can all benefit from it. Thanks for the posts!
