How is everybody? this is my first posting here and I just wanted to give a little intro to you all.
o.k. where to begin,
I began playing bass when I was about 14-15 yrs old-played punk, than got into blues and rock-made a bad decision in putting it down, still can't figure out why,
for almost ten years-in the middle of all that I went to college, was able to study music, did not touch the bass again oddly enough-
after that i joined the military, and it was not until i got back home from iraq, that something in me was wanting to play again, so i bought a whole new setup, (much to my wifes distress) and found that i should have never left it to begin with, oh well...-but that is life and 5 basses later, (again the wife is steaming!) i am still playing-been getting into jazz lately, in fact i love it!!
bought an upright, found a great teacher here and having a good time
unfortunately in crete, there is not alot of opportunities aside from playing folk music-but things are looking up-i am confident that even if i have to move somewhere else i will find people to play with
i have never been happier being able to play and express myself-
yeah i know, i could beat myself up for putting it down, but sometimes you have go to through life to really find where your heart really lies... everyone has a story thats mine-
