Greg Curbow XT-33 7 String fretless

Hi

I bougth this bass (think it was via this forum??) more than 10 years ago from a guy in US. I dont know much about the instrument, but I think he told me this was a prototype. I cannot find any pics on internet about other instruments that looks exactly like this one.

Maybe someone in here could help me out?

What is there to say about this bass,what would it be worth?

I have a little video where i play this bass, it has an incredible sustain, never played any fretless that sounds this powerful before. It is remarkable when you play it accoustic too!

Greg passed away years ago but was regarded as a pioneer in the field and was an extremely talented luthier and generally really nice guy.

If you were feeling foolish enough to sell it, I'd expect it to go in the high- to mid- $4k range if it is indeed a prototype or experimental instrument.

I would absolutely not sell a Curbow if I owned one, personally.

Thanks guys, I do not plan to sell it. Everytime I play it, it feels like it's playing by itself. So easy to play.

Wow - - - I had this bass made for me when Greg Curbow was still alive! Do you still have it?
