Gretsch Thunder Jet?

For whatever reason, Gretsch is has/been associated with Country, Rock-a-billy; the Brian Setzer vibe-or Chet Atkins I guess.

I can't recall ever playing with a guitarist that played a Gretsch and I've played with quite a few.
Surprising, since they're quality axes. I suppose Fenders & Gibsons are much more the norm.

The TV Jones versions are true "boutique" instruments, very highly regarded.
I e-mailed them today & asked if they would build a Spectrasonic Bass version-
I have a feeling they won't, but... never know.
The guitar player I jam with on Friday nights plays a Reverend Horton Heat. That guitar can go from sweet to vicious in the blink of an eye. It's always fun fun when I bring my 5123
