Grounding problem with my Orange amp?

I have an Orange CR100BXT, only got it a couple of months ago. And I have an Epiphone Thunderbird which is even newer. all of a sudden I got a buzz when i am not touchings the strings. the buzz stops when I touch the tuning keys, strings or the bridge, I have tried a new power lead, and a new OFC lead but this doesn't stop the buzz.

I have also tried with my other bass and this does nothing either. So I can only see it being the amp. I have tried it in two houses and the buzz is still there. but it does come and go, usually after moving the amp.

I think that its a wire that earths the amp has a bad conection, but I would like a second opinion before I have to spend money to get it fixed.

Thanks in advance. :bassist:

Be sure the instrument cable is OK, move it around with it plugged-in and the amp on, also fluorescent lights or a computer (crt type) can cause a lot of noise for the amp to pick-up if the bass is not shielded properly.

But the buzz didnt used to be there. which surely means something has happened with it thats made it buzz. and it comes and goes....
It's environmental. The buzz is RFI, the source is other electric devices in the vicinity. Flourescent lights and incandescents on dimmers are the usual source.
