GT-10b + Sqeezer = Ultimate Multi?

Just looking around at stuff, and the Octavius Squeezer seems to have a LOT of synth features, and the GT-10b seems to have biamp (2 chain), and effect loop capability. I'd use the EXP pedal I have so I can have 2 EXPs, one for volume, one for something else (wah, blend, whatever).

Im assuming that the effect chain on the GT is the same as the previous models where you can put the modules in any order (hopefully including the FX loop).

Would this make the ultimate midrange $$$$ multi effects setup, using the OS for synth (in the loop) and the GT for everything else?

Compared to the 5500$ for the Eventide H8000FW, 500 for the GT and 600 for the OS seems pretty tame and midrange in price. IMO obviously

Because im still semi-BROKE, until this friday. I still won't have the money to spend on this for a few months, but it will be tempting when I do....

Plus the GT has a phrase looper..... the more I think about this the more awesome it seems!

The GT10B also has a fairly convincing "lead guitar" patch.

I used it in a shop, playing the tapping bit from Eruption, fooled a lot of people.

It's not a bad idea but i think the squeezer is close to a self-contained multi - if you have a good octaver in front of it (i.e. better than the Squeezer's sucky octaver) and some kind of modulation multi and/or delay multi, you could conceivably avoid digital modeling. I can't see you being satisfied with a digital multieffect, at least not on its own - so i propose the above, similarly compact and affordable solution, which is ultimately more flexible...

I tried the GT6B and GT10B (not extensively) and IMO the POD is more fun.
The synth effects aren't all that but you can use the effect loop to hook up dedicated synth effects.



I was playing around with my X3 today and discovered something fun:
tone 1: lo-fi mic preamp model
tone 2: sub dub

That was hella-cool.
And a bit weird.
