What fret board? Black if maple, white if rosewood.

i think black would look sharp. maybe black pearl.

I voted "white pearl" but I also like black pearloid (aka "Ninja tort")!

FWIW this BassStar came with a white guard (and EMGs). I swapped the guard when I dropped the Lollars in.

It would probably look like a sandy beach with some greenish kelp pieces on it.

It really depends on the fretboard.
Is it rosewood or maple?
Does it have block inlays? Black or pearl?

Rosewood = tort, aged or white pearl, mint
Maple= mint , black,
Maple / pearl blocks= white pearl
Maple/black blocks =black pearl
