Guess who’s playing.

This is Ed Van Halen. The pic of the dude with the clarinet is his father, Jan- who played a ripping solo on Diver Down's "big bad bil is sweet william now".


Yes. It’s Eddie Van Halen and the clarinetist is indeed Jan VH. Ed has said that he’s a closet bass player and also has megachops.

It’s a screen shot from this vid. I cannot tell what the bass is but Ed has a few unique ones on the wall in his 5150 studio.

It's a reverse P with those funky block inlays.
Headstock looks like Spector.
